HOSTING CRITERIA 

Thank you for your interest in hosting a celebration of Black women. Every event, large or small, will help to make the 1619 National Celebration of Black Women a historical event in American History.

 

To host your city or plan an event, please read the guidelines listed below:

​

  • Ability to host and execute a large scale celebration/event 

  • The capacity to establish vital partnerships and sponsorship to plan, coordinate, and carry-out the desired celebration activities (i.e., venue, permits, speakers, entertainment, vendors, etc.,) if desired.

  • Establish a Lead Organizer and Event Administrator to serve as a liaison with the national committee leaders.

  • Ability to establish an "online and social Media presence" to promote your event.

  • Ability to advertise the National Celebration in conjunction with your local event.

  • Agree to represent the 1619 National Celebration of Black Women in a manner that positively reflects the mission and vision of the national message to celebrate, honor and uplift contributions and accomplishments of Black Women for the past 400 years.

The National Committee is available for support should you need help planning a successful event. Once you have registered to host, we will help you get started.
